X. filed a subsidiary constitutional complaint against judgments of the Lucerne cantonal courts in a damages/satisfaction dispute. She then expressly withdrew the complaint. The Federal Supreme Court therefore discontinued the proceedings by presidential order, waived court costs, and denied any party compensation. The order was also communicated to the cantonal courts involved.
Art. 32 BGG; withdrawal of a complaint and discontinuance of proceedings by order of the instructions judge or division president. Where the appellant withdraws the appeal/complaint, the proceedings are struck off without a decision on the merits. In such case the court determines only the allocation of costs and any party compensation; costs may be waived in light of the circumstances, and compensation requires the statutory conditions of Art. 68 BGG. The case is removed from the roll without substantive review (consid. 1-2).

in das Schreiben der Beschwerdeführerin vom 29. September 2008, womit sie unter Bezugnahme auf das Schreiben des Präsidenten der II. öffentlich-rechtlichen Abteilung vom 23. September 2008 Verzicht auf die Beschwerde erklärt (Rückzug der Beschwerde),
in Erwägung,
dass das Verfahren gestützt auf Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG mit Verfügung des Instruktionsrichters bzw. des Abteilungspräsidenten (vgl. Art. 32 Abs. 1 BGG) abgeschrieben werden kann, wobei über die Gerichtskosten zu entscheiden und die Höhe einer (allfälligen) Parteientschädigung zu bestimmen ist (Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP in Verbindung mit Art. 71 BGG),
dass vorliegend angesichts der entsprechenden Zusicherung im Schreiben vom 23. September 2008 auf die Erhebung von Kosten zu verzichten ist (Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 und Abs. 2 BGG) und kein Anspruch auf Parteientschädigung besteht (Art. 68 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG),
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Kosten erhoben.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien sowie dem Amtsgericht Luzern-Land, Abteilung I, und dem Obergericht des Kantons Luzern, I. Kammer als Appellationsinstanz, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
