STATE OFFICIALS, OATHS REQUIRED
                  Act of Jun. 4, 1879, P.L. 99, No. 115               Cl. 71
                                  AN ACT

     Requiring every person holding any official position under the
        state government to take and subscribe an oath or
        affirmation.

        Section 1.  State officials to take oath prescribed by
     Constitution
        Every person holding any official position in the State
     Government, either as the head of a department or office, or in
     any subordinate position in any of the departments or offices,
     shall, before entering upon the duties of his office, take and
     subscribe the oath which is required by the Constitution to be
     taken by state officers.  1879, June 4, P.L. 99, Sec. 1.
