Court of Appeals, State of Michigan
ORDER
TENISHA HAMPTON V GREGORY JONES
Docket No. 378703
LC No. 17-163353-DP
Christopher M. Murray, Judge, acting under MCR 7.211(E)(2), orders:
The motion to waive fees is DENIED because the information provided by defendant is
insufficient to determine whether he is entitled to a fee waiver under MCR 2.002.
Within 21 days of the Clerk’s certification of this order, appellant shall pay to the Clerk of
the Court the entry fee of $375, as well as all outstanding motion fees, as follows: $200 (motion for
immediate consideration); $100 (motion for stay); and $100 (motion to waive requirements of MCR
7.209). Failure to pay the entry fee will result in dismissal of the appeal. Failure to pay any outstanding
motion fees will result in striking the affected motions.
The Court further notes that, from defendant’s “declaration concerning financial status,”
defendant may be requesting that transcript production costs be waived. If so, such a request should be
directed to the trial court, not this Court. Defendant is reminded that, pursuant to MCR 7.205(B)(4), he is
responsible for providing this Court with proof of ordering all of the transcripts needed to facilitate
appellate review, and then filing such transcripts with this Court as soon as they are available. If appellant
fails to provide proof that the necessary transcripts have been ordered, his application for leave to appeal
will be subject to dismissal under MCR 7.201(B)(3) and MCR 7.216(A)(10).
