The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this case only.
The motion for immediate consideration is DENIED.
The “motion for evidentiary hearing” is DENIED.
The delayed application for leave to appeal is DENIED because defendant has failed to
establish that the trial court committed any error warranting reversal in denying the motion for relief from
judgment. Beyond the fact that this court previously rejected most, if not all, of defendant’s claims of
error in his previous appeals in Docket Nos. 344460, 370685, and 346682, defendant fails to offer any
argument concerning how those various claims of error were not waived, in this case, by his entry of a
guilty plea. See People v Likine, 492 Mich 367, 409; 823 NW2d 50 (2012) (“An unconditional guilty plea
that is knowing and intelligent waives claims of error on appeal, even claims of constitutional
dimension.”). By failing to brief that issue and include it in his statement of questions presented, defendant
has abandoned/waived it. See People v Francis, 347 Mich App 560, 567; 16 NW3d 323 (2023) (“The
failure to brief the merits of an allegation of error constitutes an abandonment of the issue.”) (quotation
marks and citation omitted).
