The Federal Assembly adopted a federal decree approving up to CHF 1.3 million for Switzerland's participation in the European Community's Euro Info Centres network for the next twelve months. The amount was declared additional to the financial aid already granted to OSEC for 1990-1994. The decree was adopted by both chambers and stated to be non-referendable.
Art. 2 of the federal law of 6 October 1989 on financial aid to OSEC; federal decree approving additional funding for participation in an international information network. The Federal Assembly may approve a supplementary financial amount for a limited period where the statutory basis permits aid to OSEC and the measure is linked to the promotion of commercial expansion. The decree may specify the duration and the cumulative character of the subsidy, and, as a non-general act, is not subject to referendum.

L'Assemblée fédérale de la Confédération suisse,
vu l'article 2 de la loi fédérale du 6 octobre 19891) allouant une aide financière à l'Office suisse d'expansion commerciale (OSEC); vu le message du Conseil fédéral du 12 mai 19932),
arrête:
Article premier
Un montant de 1,3 million de francs au maximum pour une participation de la Suisse au réseau Euro Info Centres (EIC) de la Communauté européenne est approuvé pour la durée des prochains douze mois. Ce montant s'ajoute à l'aide financière octroyée à l'Office suisse d'expansion commerciale (OSEC) pour la période de 1990 à 1994.
Art. 2
Le présent arrêté, qui n'est pas de portée générale, n'est pas sujet au référendum.
