The civil appeals chamber of the Vaud Cantonal Court took note of the appellant’s withdrawal of his appeal, made through the Service d’Aide Juridique aux Exilé-e-s, and ordered the case struck from the roll. The court stated that this could be done by the delegated judge under the cantonal judicial code and that the decision was rendered without judicial fees. The underlying first-instance decision of the justice of the peace was not examined on the merits.

Art. 241 al. 3 CPC Statuant à huis clos sur le recours interjeté par H.________, alors détenu dans les locaux de l’Etablissement Favra, à Puplinge, contre l’ordonnance rendue le 24 septembre 2014 par le Juge de paix du district de Lausanne dans la cause le concernant, le juge délégué de la Chambre des recours civile du Tribunal cantonal voit :
2 - E n f a i t e t e n d r o i t : 1.Par lettre du 28 octobre 2014, le recourant, par le biais du Service d’Aide Juridique aux Exilé-e-s, a déclaré retirer son recours. Il convient d’en prendre acte et de rayer la cause du rôle (art. 241 al. 3 CPC [Code de procédure civile du 19 décembre 2008, RS 272]), ce qui relève de la compétence du juge délégué de la Cour de céans (art. 43 al. 1 let. a CDPJ [Code de droit privé judiciaire vaudois du 12 janvier 2010, RSV 211.02]). 2.Le présent arrêt peut être rendu sans frais judiciaires (art. 11 TFJC [tarif du 28 septembre 2010 des frais judiciaires civils, RSV 270.11.5]). Par ces motifs, le juge délégué de la Chambre des recours civile du Tribunal cantonal, statuant à huis clos, p r o n o n c e : I. Il est pris acte du retrait du recours. II.
