In a planning-law appeal before the Ticino Territorial Planning Court, the appellant withdrew the appeal by letter of 25 August 1998. The court held that the case had thereby become moot and ordered the appeal struck from the docket. It further decided that no court fees or expenses would be charged. The respondents included the State Council and the municipal authority concerned; the substantive merits were not examined.
