The appellant withdrew the appeal on 18 February 2002, shortly after filing it on 22 January 2002. The Ticino cantonal administrative court therefore held that the proceeding was exhausted and ordered the appeal stricken from the docket. It further decided that no court fees or costs would be charged. The decision was issued by President Lorenzo Anastasi with the assistance of court clerk Leopoldo Crivelli.
Withdrawal of the appeal; the proceeding is terminated and the case is struck from the docket. Where the appellant withdraws the remedy before judgment, the court need not examine the merits and may simply order removal from the register. In such a situation, absent special circumstances, no court fees or expenses are levied (consid. 1-2).
