The appellant filed an appeal against the Commissione giuridica in materia di assistenza sociopsichiatrica’s decision of 3 August 1999. Before the court ruled on the merits, the appellant withdrew the appeal on 20 August 1999. The Tribunale cantonale amministrativo therefore struck the case from the docket and ordered that no fees or costs be collected.
Withdrawal of an administrative appeal renders the proceedings moot and leads to striking the case from the docket; where the appeal is withdrawn before decision on the merits, the court terminates the proceedings and may order that no fees or costs be charged.
