The President of the Bellinzona criminal court dealt with an objection to a criminal penalty order. After the objector withdrew the objection by letter of 24 March 2003, the court struck the proceedings from the docket under Arts. 210 and 211 CPP and declared the penalty order enforceable. No justice fee was levied, but court costs of CHF 30 were imposed on the objector.

The court may allocate the procedural costs to the objector and waive the justice fee. The withdrawal renders the dispute moot in the objection phase; no merits review is required.
