The appellant challenged a cantonal judgment concerning supplementary benefits to AHV/IV. The Federal Supreme Court had previously ordered payment of an advance on costs and granted an additional deadline, warning that the appeal would otherwise not be entertained. Because the appellant still did not pay within the extended period, the Court, in simplified procedure, issued a non-entry decision. It also waived court costs.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG, Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; non-payment of the requested advance on costs within the extended deadline results in non-entry into the appeal in simplified procedure. Where the statutory conditions are met, the Court may decide summarily without full proceedings. Under Art. 66 Abs. 1 second sentence BGG, court costs may be waived in such circumstances.

in die Verfügung vom 25. Januar 2012, mit welcher P.________ zur Bezahlung eines Kostenvorschusses innert einer Nachfrist bis zum 6. Februar 2012 verpflichtet wurde, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde,
in Erwägung,
dass die Beschwerdeführerin den Vorschuss auch innerhalb der Nachfrist nicht geleistet hat,
dass deshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet wird,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Glarus und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
