The appellant challenged a Zurich social insurance judgment concerning an IV office decision. The Federal Supreme Court found that he had not cured the formal defect identified by the court, namely the absence of the lower-court decision, within the deadline set under the BGG. In simplified procedure, the court therefore declined to enter into the appeal. Owing to the circumstances, it waived the imposition of court costs.
Art. 42 Abs. 3 and 5 BGG, Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; failure to cure a formal defect within the set time limit results in non-entry in simplified procedure. If the appellant does not submit the missing mandatory attachment within the deadline, the appeal is inadmissible without examination of the merits. Under Art. 66 Abs. 1 second sentence BGG, court costs may exceptionally be waived where the circumstances so justify.

in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer den ihm vom Gericht gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 5 BGG angezeigten Mangel (vgl. Art. 42 Abs. 3 BGG) der fehlenden Beilagen (vorinstanzlicher Entscheid) nicht innerhalb der mit Verfügung vom 15. Mai 2012 angesetzten, am 29. Mai 2012 abgelaufenen (Art. 44 - 48 BGG) Frist behoben, sondern mit Schreiben vom 16. Mai 2012 bloss ein zweites Mal seine Vollmacht eingereicht hat,
dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten und von der Erhebung von Gerichtskosten umständehalber (Art. 66 Abs. 1 zweiter Satz BGG) abzusehen ist,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht des Kantons Zürich und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
