The appellant withdrew his appeal against the Basel-Stadt Social Insurance Court judgment on an invalidity pension. The President of the II. Social Law Division of the Federal Supreme Court took note of the withdrawal and ordered the proceedings struck off. No court costs were charged. The order was notified to the parties, the cantonal social insurance court, the compensation office, and the Federal Office for Social Insurance.

in Anwendung von Art. 65, Art. 66 Abs. 2 sowie Art. 71 BGG in Verbindung mit Art. 73 Abs. 1 BZP als Instruktionsrichter im Verfahren nach Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG
verfügt :

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.

Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht Basel-Stadt, der Ausgleichskasse des Basler Volkswirtschaftbundes, Basel, und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen zugestellt.
