The Federal Supreme Court dealt with an appeal in unemployment insurance against a decision of the Cantonal Court of Fribourg. The appellant's filings failed to meet the federal pleading requirements because they did not set out in a sufficiently concise manner how the cantonal decision violated the law. The Court held that the possibility of setting a cure period does not apply to such substantive deficiencies. It therefore did not enter into the appeal and ordered no court costs.
Art. 42 Abs. 1 and 2 BGG; Art. 42 Abs. 5 and 6 BGG; Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG: an appeal must contain specific requests and a concise legal reasoning showing in what respect the challenged decision violates federal law. A merely insufficiently reasoned appeal is inadmissible; such a substantive defect cannot be remedied by setting a period unless the case falls within the exhaustively listed exceptions of Art. 42(5) or (6) BGG. The summary procedure under Art. 108(1)(b) BGG permits non-entry where the pleading requirements are manifestly unmet. Court costs may be waived under Art. 66(1) BGG.

Das Präsidium der I. sozialrechtlichen Abteilung hat nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde des M.________ vom 23. April 2007 (Poststempel) gegen einen Entscheid des Verwaltungsgerichts des Kantons Freiburg vom 26. März 2007,
in das Schreiben des Bundesgerichts an M.________ vom 30. April 2007, wonach seine Beschwerde die gesetzlichen Formerfordernisse hinsichtlich Antrag und Begründung nicht zu erfüllen scheint und eine Verbesserung nur innert der Beschwerdefrist möglich ist,
in die daraufhin von M.________ am 4./8. Mai 2007 eingereichte Eingabe,
in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung mit Angabe der Beweismittel enthalten muss, wobei in der Begründung gemäss Abs. 2 desselben Artikels in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Entscheid Recht verletzt,
dass die beiden Eingaben des Beschwerdeführers diesen Begründungsanforderungen nicht gerecht werden (vgl. BGE 123 V 335, 118 Ib 134, ARV 2002 Nr. 7 S. 61 E.2),
dass das Ansetzen einer angemessenen Frist zur Behebung des Mangels nur in den in Art. 42 Abs. 5 oder 6 BGG erwähnten Fällen zulässig ist, worunter das inhaltliche Ungenügen des Rechtsmittels nicht fällt (vgl. BGE 130 I 312 E. 1.3.1 S. 320, 123 II 359 E. 6b/bb S. 369, 118 Ib 134 E. 2, je mit Hinweis),
in Anwendung von Art. 65 sowie Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG und im Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG,
erkannt:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Freiburg, Sozialversicherungsgerichtshof, und dem Staatssekretariat für Wirtschaft zugestellt.
