The appellant challenged a cantonal decision concerning supplementary AHV/IV benefits. The Federal Supreme Court had previously ordered an advance on costs and granted an extended deadline, warning that failure to pay would lead to non-entry. The appellant still did not pay. The Court therefore issued a simplified decision refusing to enter into the appeal and ordered court costs of CHF 300 against the appellant.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG in conjunction with Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG; failure to pay the requested advance on costs within the extended deadline. Where the appellant does not comply with a duly ordered advance-payment requirement even after a grace period, the appeal is not entered into in summary procedure. In such a case, the appellant bears the federal court costs under Art. 66 Abs. 1 and 3 BGG.

in die Verfügung vom 18. März 2008, mit welcher D.________ zur Bezahlung eines Kostenvorschusses innert einer Nachfrist bis zum 9. April 2008 verpflichtet wurde, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde,
in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer den Vorschuss auch innerhalb der Nachfrist nicht geleistet hat,
dass deshalb gestützt auf Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und der Beschwerdeführer nach Art. 66 Abs. 1 und 3 BGG kostenpflichtig wird,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Verwaltungsgericht des Kantons Schwyz und dem Bundesamt für Sozialversicherungen schriftlich mitgeteilt.
