Das Bundesgericht zieht in Erwägung:

Das Bundesgericht trat mit Urteil vom 5. September 2007 auf eine Beschwerde von X.________ nicht ein, weil sie sich mit der Frage der Verspätung des kantonalen Rechtsmittels nicht befasste und deshalb den Begründungsanforderungen nicht genügte (Verfahren 6B_402/2007). Dagegen richtet sich das vorliegende Revisionsgesuch von X.________.

Der Gesuchsteller bezieht sich auf Art. 121 lit. d BGG, wonach die Revision eines bundesgerichtlichen Entscheids verlangt werden kann, wenn das Gericht in den Akten liegende erhebliche Tatsachen aus Versehen nicht berücksichtigt hat. Davon, dass die Verspätung des kantonalen Rechtsmittels irrelevant gewesen wäre und das Bundesgericht insoweit etwas übersehen hätte (Gesuch C/2), kann indessen keine Rede sein. Die übrigen Vorbringen betreffen die materielle Seite des Falles und sind im Rahmen des vorliegenden Revisionsverfahrens unzulässig. Das Revisionsgesuch ist abzuweisen, soweit darauf einzutreten ist.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Gesuchsteller aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Der Gesuchsteller wird darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass das Bundesgericht weitere Eingaben in dieser Sache und insbesondere unbegründete Revisionsgesuche ohne förmliche Erledigung zu den Akten legen wird.

Demnach erkennt das Bundesgericht:

Das Revisionsgesuch wird abgewiesen, soweit darauf einzutreten ist.
2.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 1'000.-- wird dem Gesuchsteller auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Strafgericht des Kantons Basel-Stadt, Rekurskammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
