Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Der Beschwerdeführer wendet sich gegen einen Entscheid des Obergerichts des Kantons Bern vom 30. August 2007, mit dem er u.a. wegen Erpressung im Sinne von Art. 156 Ziff. 1 i.V.m. Art. 22 Abs. 1 StGB sowie im Sinne von Art. 156 Ziff. 2 sowie Ziff. 3 i.V.m. Art. 140 Ziff. 1 bzw. Ziff. 3 Abs. 3 StGB verurteilt wurde. Die Beschwerde richtet sich sinngemäss gegen die Beweiswürdigung. Diese verletzt das Willkürverbot von Art. 9 BV nicht schon, wenn eine andere Lösung ebenfalls vertretbar erscheint, sondern nur, wenn sie offensichtlich unhaltbar ist, zur tatsächlichen Situation in klarem Widerspruch steht oder in stossender Weise dem Gerechtigkeitsgedanken zuwiderläuft (BGE 132 I 13 E. 5.1; 131 I 57 E. 2, 217 E. 2.1, 467 E. 3.1). Die Ausführungen des Beschwerdeführers erfüllen die Begründungsanforderungen von Art. 42 Abs. 2 bzw. 106 Abs. 2 BGG nicht. Soweit er behauptet, "niemanden erpresst" und "das nicht begangen" zu haben, erschöpfen sich seine Vorbringen in unzulässiger appellatorischer Kritik am angefochtenen Entscheid. Soweit er einwendet, nie eine echte Pistole in der Hand gehabt zu haben, dafür aber verurteilt worden sein, geht sein Vorbringen an der Sache vorbei. Das Obergericht ist zu seinen Gunsten davon ausgegangen, dass es sich bei der verwendeten Waffe um eine Schreckschusspistole handelte (angefochtener Entscheid, S. 24). Damit ist auf die Beschwerde im Verfahren nach Art. 108 StGB nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG). Das sinngemäss gestellte Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege ist in Anwendung von Art. 64 BGG abzuweisen, weil die Rechtsbegehren aussichtslos erschienen. Der finanziellen Lage des Beschwerdeführers ist mit einer herabgesetzten Gerichtsgebühr Rechnung zu tragen.

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.
3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Bern, 1. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
