The appellant challenged a cost-related decision of the District Court of Affoltern before the Federal Supreme Court. Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Dem Beschwerdeführer wurden mit Verfügungen vom 27. März und 29. April 2008 eine Frist bis zum 21. April sowie eine Nachfrist bis zum 20. Mai 2008 angesetzt, um dem Bundesgericht einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 2'000.-- einzuzahlen, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde. Der Kostenvorschuss wurde nicht geleistet. Folglich ist auf die Beschwerde androhungsgemäss im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).
Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Bezirksgericht Affoltern schriftlich mitgeteilt.
