Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Dem Beschwerdeführer wurden mit Verfügungen vom 5. März 2009 und 7. April 2009 eine Frist bis zum 26. März 2009 sowie eine Nachfrist bis 12. Mai 2009 angesetzt, um dem Bundesgericht einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 4'000.-- einzuzahlen, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde. Der Kostenvorschuss wurde nicht geleistet. Auf die Beschwerde ist folglich androhungsgemäss im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Kantonsgericht St. Gallen, Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
