The complainant filed a constitutional complaint against a judgment of the Cantonal Court of Basel-Landschaft in a matter concerning definitive debt enforcement relief. After the Federal Supreme Court rejected his request for legal aid, he withdrew the complaint by letter. The president of the Civil Law Division therefore discontinued the proceedings as withdrawn and ordered the complainant to pay court costs of CHF 300.
Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG; withdrawal of a constitutional complaint renders the proceedings devoid of purpose and permits discontinuance by the division president pursuant to Art. 71 BGG in conjunction with Art. 73 BZP. In such a case, the court shall allocate costs against the withdrawing party according to Art. 71 BGG in conjunction with Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP and Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG.

dass der Beschwerdeführer die erwähnte Eingabe (nach sein Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege abweisender Verfügung vom 16. Juni 2009) mit Schreiben vom 23. Juni 2009 zurückgezogen hat, die Verfassungsbeschwerde daher durch die Abteilungspräsidentin (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP) und die Kosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
verfügt die Präsidentin:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Verfassungsbeschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Kantonsgericht Basel-Landschaft schriftlich mitgeteilt.
