X. challenged a cantonal judgment ordering him to pay Spital Y. AG CHF 19,061.85 plus interest for hospital treatment. The Aargau appellate court dismissed his appeal. Before the Federal Supreme Court, the filing could not be heard as an ordinary civil appeal because the amount in dispute was too low and no fundamental legal question was invoked. Failing such reasoning, the Federal Supreme Court does not enter into the complaint (consid. 1). Costs are borne by the losing party; party compensation is denied absent compensable expense (consid. 2).

Die Präsidentin hat in Erwägung,
dass der Gerichtspräsident 6 des Bezirksgerichts Baden den Beschwerdeführer mit Urteil vom 19. November 2012 verpflichtete, der Beschwerdegegnerin Fr. 19'061.85 nebst Zins zu 5 % seit 3. Oktober 2011 zu bezahlen, und die Klage der Beschwerdegegnerin im Übrigen abwies;
dass das Obergericht des Kantons Aargau eine vom Beschwerdeführer gegen dieses Urteil erhobene Berufung - in der er die Forderung der Beschwerdegegnerin im Umfang von Fr. 9'000.-- anerkannte - am 14. August 2013 abwies;
dass der Beschwerdeführer gegen diesen Entscheid beim Bundesgericht mit Eingabe vom 10. Oktober 2013 Beschwerde erhob;
dass die Beschwerde in Zivilsachen nach Art. 72 ff. BGG angesichts der Höhe des Streitwerts im vorliegenden Fall unzulässig ist (Art. 74 Abs. 1 und Art. 51 Abs. 1 lit. a BGG) und nicht geltend gemacht wird, dass die Beschwerde dennoch zulässig sei, weil sich eine Rechtsfrage von grundsätzlicher Bedeutung im Sinne von Art. 74 Abs. 2 lit. a BGG stellen würde (Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG);
dass die Eingabe des Beschwerdeführers unter diesen Umständen als subsidiäre Verfassungsbeschwerde im Sinne der Art. 113 ff. BGG zu behandeln ist;
dass in einer subsidiären Verfassungsbeschwerde an das Bundesgericht dargelegt werden muss, welche Grundrechte durch das kantonale Gericht verletzt worden sind, und solche Rügen unter Bezugnahme auf die Erwägungen des angefochtenen Entscheids detailliert zu begründen sind (Art. 42 Abs. 2 und Art. 106 Abs. 2 in Verbindung mit Art. 117 BGG);
dass die Eingabe vom 10. Oktober 2013 diesen Begründungsanforderungen offensichtlich nicht genügt, indem sich der Beschwerdeführer darin im Wesentlichen darauf beschränkt, seinen im vorinstanzlichen Verfahren vorgebrachten Standpunkt zu wiederholen, ohne rechtsgenügend darzulegen, welche Grundrechte die Vorinstanz mit ihrem Entscheid verletzt haben soll;
dass somit auf die Beschwerde mangels hinreichender Begründung nicht einzutreten ist;
dass die Gerichtskosten dem Ausgang des Verfahrens entsprechend dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG);
dass die Beschwerdegegnerin keinen Anspruch auf eine Parteientschädigung hat, da ihr aus dem bundesgerichtlichen Verfahren kein Aufwand entstanden ist (Art. 68 Abs. 1 BGG);
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Aargau, Zivilgericht, 2. Kammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
