X.________ Limited filed a recourse against the Geneva Tribunal de première instance in a matter concerning pre-provisional measures. Before the Federal Supreme Court ruled on the merits, the appellant withdrew the appeal by letter of 18 August 2008. The presiding judge therefore ordered the case struck from the docket and charged the appellant with judicial costs of CHF 500.
Art. 32 al. 2 LTF; withdrawal of the appeal: upon withdrawal, the Federal Supreme Court strikes the case from the docket and allocates the judicial costs to the withdrawing appellant, without examining the merits.
