The appellant filed a Federal Supreme Court appeal against Zurich cantonal decisions concerning closure of a bank account and custody account and requested legal aid. After the legal aid request was denied, he withdrew the appeal. The Federal Supreme Court therefore struck the proceedings off the docket and charged the appellant with CHF 500 in court costs.
Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG; withdrawal of the appeal and termination of proceedings. Upon withdrawal of the appeal, the Federal Supreme Court strikes the case off the docket without examining the merits. Court costs are allocated according to Art. 66 Abs. 3 BGG to the withdrawing appellant unless special reasons justify a different allocation.

dass der Beschwerdeführer die gegen den Zirkulationsbeschluss des Kassationsgerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 20. November 2008 und das Urteil des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich, I. Zivilkammer, vom 15. Juli 2008 eine Beschwerde einreichte und darin ein Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege stellte,
dass dieses Gesuch mit Verfügung vom 5. Februar 2009 abgewiesen wurde und der Beschwerdeführer mit Schreiben vom 20. April 2009 die Beschwerde zurückzog,
dass die Gerichtskosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 66 Abs. 3 BGG),
verfügt die Instruktionsrichterin gemäss Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG:

Das Verfahren wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 500.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, dem Kassationsgericht des Kantons Zürich und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, I. Zivilkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
