The appellant withdrew her administrative-law appeal against the Ticino authorities concerning a residence permit. The President of the Second Public Law Court therefore terminated the proceedings and struck the case from the docket. Applying the rules on withdrawal under the former Organisation Act, the Court ordered reduced court costs of CHF 500 against the appellant. No party compensation was awarded to the authorities.

Il Presidente della II Corte di diritto pubblico,
visto:
la lettera del 4 settembre 2007 con cui la ricorrente ha dichiarato ritirare il ricorso da lei presentato il 19 dicembre 2006;
considerato:
che anche se il 1° gennaio 2007 è entrata in vigore la legge sul Tribunale federale, del 17 giugno 2005 (LTF), in concreto si applica tuttora la legge federale sull'organizzazione giudiziaria, del 16 dicembre 1943 (OG; cfr. art. 132 cpv. 1 LTF);
che, quando il ricorso è ritirato, il Presidente della Corte adita dichiara il processo terminato mediante decreto nonché statuisce sulle spese processuali e sull'assegnazione e l'ammontare delle ripetibili (art. 5 cpv. 2 e 73 cpv. 1 PC combinati con l'art. 40 OG);
che, in caso di desistenza, le spese processuali debbono essere poste, in linea di principio, a carico della parte ricorrente con l'applicazione di una tassa di giustizia ridotta (art. 153 cpv. 2 e 153a OG) e che, nella fattispecie, non v'è motivo per scostarsi da questo principio;
che non si assegnano ripetibili ad autorità vincenti (art. 159 cpv. 2 OG).
Decreta:

La causa 2A.773/2006 è stralciata dai ruoli per desistenza.
2.
La tassa di giustizia di fr. 500.-- è posta a carico della ricorrente.
3.
Comunicazione alla ricorrente, al Consiglio di Stato e al Tribunale amministrativo del Cantone Ticino nonché all'Ufficio federale della migrazione.
