X. filed a subsidiary constitutional complaint against a decision of the Solothurn cantonal government concerning refusal of naturalization. Before the Federal Supreme Court decided the matter, he withdrew the complaint in writing. The President of the First Public Law Division therefore ordered the proceedings struck out and waived court costs. The order was notified to X., the Bürgergemeinde Schönenwerd, and the Regierungsrat of the Canton of Solothurn.
Withdrawal of a subsidiary constitutional complaint; the proceedings are discontinued as soon as the appellant validly withdraws the remedy. In such a situation the court strikes the case off the roll as moot and may waive court costs, particularly where the withdrawal terminates the dispute without need for a merits determination (consid. 1).

dass der Beschwerdeführer mit Schreiben vom 12. Februar 2010 seine Beschwerde vom 1. Februar 2010 zurückgezogen hat;
dass das Beschwerdeverfahren somit als durch Beschwerderückzug erledigt abzuschreiben ist;
dass auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten verzichtet werden kann;
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren 1D_1/2010 wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird dem Beschwerdeführer, der Bürgergemeinde Schönenwerd und dem Regierungsrat des Kantons Solothurn schriftlich mitgeteilt.
