In a building-law dispute, the Federal Supreme Court noted that the parties had negotiated a settlement and that, under the agreement filed by respondents' counsel, the appellant withdrew his public-law appeal unconditionally. The Court therefore discontinued the proceedings. Pursuant to the agreement, court costs of CHF 800 were imposed on the appellant, and no party compensation was awarded because any compensation claims were set off by agreement.
Withdrawal of appeal; discontinuance of proceedings. Where the appellant unconditionally withdraws the public-law appeal after settlement negotiations, the Federal Supreme Court strikes the case from the docket. If the parties have agreed on the allocation of costs, that agreement governs the court costs and any party compensation, subject to the Court's formal order (consid. 1).

In Erwägung,
dass X.________ mit Eingabe vom 6. November 2007 Beschwerde in öffentlich-rechtlichen Angelegenheiten gegen das Urteil des Kantonsgerichts Wallis, öffentlichrechtliche Abteilung, vom 1. Oktober 2007 erhoben hat;
dass zwischen den Parteien Vergleichsverhandlungen stattgefunden haben;
dass der Rechtsvertreter der Beschwerdegegner im Auftrag der Parteien mit Schreiben vom 28. Mai 2009 eine Vereinbarung eingereicht hat;
dass gemäss dieser Vereinbarung der Beschwerdeführer seine Beschwerde vom 6. November 2007 vorbehaltlos zurückgezogen hat;
dass das Beschwerdeverfahren somit als durch Beschwerderückzug erledigt abzuschreiben ist;
dass die Gerichtskosten gemäss der Vereinbarung dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind;
dass keine Parteientschädigungen auszurichten sind, da allfällige Parteientschädigungen gemäss Vereinbarung wettzuschlagen sind;
verfügt der Präsident:

Das Verfahren 1C_385/2007 wird infolge Rückzugs der Beschwerde abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Es werden keine Parteientschädigungen zugesprochen.
4.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien, der Munizipalgemeinde Riederalp, der Kantonalen Baukommission Wallis, dem Staatsrat des Kantons Wallis und dem Kantonsgericht Wallis, Öffentlichrechtliche Abteilung, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
