The Federal Supreme Court noted that the appellant withdrew his criminal appeal against the Vaud cantonal decision confirming security detention. The Court therefore removed the case from the docket. Considering the circumstances and the subject matter, it waived both judicial costs and party compensation.
Art. 73 PCF in conjunction with Art. 71 LTF and Art. 32 al. 2 LTF; withdrawal of an appeal: the Court takes note of the withdrawal and strikes the case from the docket. As a rule, the withdrawing appellant is treated as the losing party for costs purposes, but the Court may exceptionally waive judicial costs and party compensation under Art. 66 al. 2 and Art. 68 al. 3 LTF, in particular where the circumstances and the subject matter so justify.

Vu:
le prononcé du 30 mai 2011 par lequel le Président du Tribunal correctionnel de l'arrondissement de Lausanne a ordonné le maintien de A.________ en détention pour des motifs de sûreté,
l'arrêt de la Chambre des recours pénale du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud du 15 juin 2011 qui confirme ce prononcé sur recours de l'intéressé,
le recours en matière pénale interjeté le 22 juin 2011 contre cet arrêt par A.________,
la lettre du 27 juin 2011 par laquelle le recourant déclare retirer son recours;
considérant:
qu'il sied de prendre acte du retrait du recours et de rayer la cause du rôle (art. 73 PCF par renvoi de l'art. 71 LTF; art. 32 al. 2 LTF),
que celui qui retire un recours doit, en principe, être considéré comme une partie succombante astreinte au paiement des frais de justice encourus jusque-là (ordonnance 9C_112/2009 du 6 juillet 2010; cf. art. 428 al. 1 CPP),
que, compte tenu des circonstances et de l'objet de la contestation, il y a cependant lieu de statuer sans frais judiciaires ni dépens (art. 66 al. 2 et 68 al. 3 LTF);
Par ces motifs, le Président ordonne:

La cause est rayée du rôle par suite de retrait du recours.
2.
Il n'est pas perçu de frais judiciaires ni alloué de dépens.
3.
La présente ordonnance est communiquée au mandataire du recourant ainsi qu'au Ministère public central et à la Chambre des recours pénale du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.
