X. filed a federal complaint against a decision of the Zurich Higher Court in an international mutual legal assistance matter involving Germany. Before the Federal Supreme Court ruled on the merits, X. withdrew the complaint by letter of 19 March 2007. The court therefore discontinued the proceedings and ordered that no costs be charged. The decision was notified to the appellant, the Zurich public prosecutor’s office, the Higher Court, and the Federal Office of Justice.

dass X.________ mit Eingabe vom 20. Februar 2007 Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss der III. Strafkammer des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich vom 1. Februar 2007 erhoben hat;
dass der Beschwerdeführer mit Schreiben vom 19. März 2007 seine Beschwerde vom 20. Februar 2007 zurückgezogen hat;
dass das Beschwerdeverfahren somit als durch Beschwerderückzug erledigt abzuschreiben ist;
dass keine Kosten zu erheben sind;
verfügt:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Beschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.

Es werden keine Kosten erhoben.

Diese Verfügung wird dem Beschwerdeführer, der Staatsanwaltschaft I, Rechtshilfe/Geldwäschereiverfahren, dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, sowie dem Bundesamt für Justiz, Abteilung Internationale Rechtshilfe, Sektion Rechtshilfe, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The proceedings were discontinued and struck off the docket because the complaint had been withdrawn.
