AN ACT
1 To allow for the provision of relocation assistance and the
2 payment of relocation benefits under federally assisted
3 programs to persons who would not qualify for such payments
4 under the Eminent Domain Code of the Commonwealth of
5 Pennsylvania.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. A person who moves or discontinues his business
9 or moves other personal property, or moves from his dwelling on
10 or after January 2, 1971, as the direct result of code
11 enforcement activities, or a program of voluntary rehabilitation
12 of buildings, or other improvements conducted pursuant to a
13 federally assisted governmental program for which Federal law
14 and regulations provide relocation assistance and payments,
15 shall be entitled to such payments. Payments shall be made in
16 accordance with Federal law and regulation even though a person
17 does not qualify for similar payments provided under the Eminent
18 Domain Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
19 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall
1 apply to all persons who have become displaced persons on or
2 after January 2, 1971.
