October 22, 2026.
In The
Fourteenth Court of Appeals
NO. 14-26-01069-CV
IN RE ROLAND JOSEPH SEYMOUR, Relator
ORIGINAL PROCEEDING
WRIT OF MANDAMUS
387th District Court
Fort Bend County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 25-DCV-330367
MEMORANDUM OPINION
Relator Roland Joseph Seymour filed a petition for writ of mandamus,
requesting that this court compel the trial court to take various actions in the
underlying lawsuit affecting the parent-child relationship. Mandamus is an
extraordinary remedy that will issue only to correct a clear abuse of discretion
when there is no adequate remedy by appeal. In re Prudential Ins. Co. of Am., 148
S.W.3d 124, 135–38 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding). After reviewing the petition
2
and record, we conclude that relator has not established entitlement to mandamus
relief. Accordingly, we deny relator’s petition for writ of mandamus.
PER CURIAM
Panel consists of Chief Justice Christopher and Justices Wise and Jewell.
