If a known agent, residing here, of a ^ person residing abroad, sue a man here in the name of his principal, It is well; of if he sue in consequence of a letter written to him, it is well also. Therefore Carr cannot be discharged from arrest; it is, legal, and the

habeas corpus

must be denied.
