Judges
The motion to waive fees is GRANTED for this case only.
The motion for immediate consideration is DENIED.
Pursuant to MCR 7.211(C)(4) and MCR 7.205(E)(2), and in lieu of granting the delayed
application, the trial court’s June 11, 2025 order denying relief from judgment is VACATED and the
cause is REMANDED for reconsideration of defendant’s motion for relief from judgment. The trial
court’s order did not contain “a concise statement of the reasons for the denial” of defendant’s motion for
relief from judgment. See MCR 6.504(B)(2). See also People v Kuzma, 508 Mich 912 (2021). On
remand, the trial court shall reconsider defendant’s motion for relief from judgment and provide sufficient
reasoning to facilitate meaningful appellate review.
The motion to remand is DENIED as moot in light of the resolution of the delayed
application.
