In lieu of granting the application for leave to appeal this case is REMANDED to the trial court to
either enter a corrected judgment of sentence that does not impose the $1,000 fine imposed in the August
25, 2025 judgment of sentence appealed from or to articulate a proper legal basis for imposing the $1,000
fine. MCR 7.205(E)(2). In this regard, MCL 750.92(2) does not authorize imposition of a fine for a
felony attempt conviction.
We do not retain jurisdiction.
