On its own motion, the Court ORDERS appellant’s counsel to be prepared to discuss at
oral argument whether it was plain error for the trial court to order termination of parental rights without
a finding regarding the statutorily required aggravating circumstances or to fail to require the DHHS to
provide reasonable efforts at reunification.
Either petitioner-appellee or respondent-appellant may file a supplemental brief addressing
these matters by January 12, 2026.
