In this first-instance civil action, Ahaus District Court ordered the defendant to pay the plaintiff €274.21, together with interest at five percentage points above the base rate on €100.32 from 1 July 2003 and on a further €173.89 from 29 October 2003. The defendant was also ordered to pay €6 in pre-litigation reminder costs and €6 in bank-return costs. The court dismissed the remainder of the claim and allocated the costs of the proceedings to the defendant. The judgment was declared provisionally enforceable.
