Election of a Federal Councillor for the remainder of the administrative term
Kaspar Villiger was elected Federal Councillor for the remainder of the administrative term.
The joint sitting of the Federal Assembly made the election and recorded the result in the Federal Gazette notice.
Election of the Vice-President of the Federal Council for the remainder of 1989
Arnold Koller was elected Vice-President of the Federal Council for the remainder of 1989.
The assembly held the election in the same session and announced the successful candidate.
