The Federal Assembly granted federal guarantee to Article 160C of the revised Constitution of the Canton of Geneva as accepted in the popular vote of 7 December 1986. The guarantee covers paragraphs 1 to 4 and 6 to 7 without reservation, while paragraph 5 is guaranteed only subject to Article 24quinquies of the Federal Constitution and the federal legislation deriving from it. The act was adopted by the Federal Assembly after the Federal Council's message of 30 November 1987.

The guarantee may thus be partial and conditional as to a specific paragraph, while the remaining provisions are approved without reservation.

Arrêté fédéral accordant la garantie fédérale à la constitution révisée du canton de Genève

du 20 juin 1988

L'Assemblée fédérale de la Confédération suisse, vu l'article 6 de la constitution; vu le message du Conseil fédéral du 30 novembre 19871), arrête:

Article premier

La garantie fédérale est accordée à l'article 160 C, 1er à 4e alinéas, ainsi que 6e et 7e alinéas de la constitution du canton de Genève, acceptés lors de la votation populaire du 7 décembre 1986, et au 5e alinéa sous réserve de l'article 24quinquies de la constitution fédérale et de la législation fédérale qui en résulte.

Art. 2

Le présent arrêté, qui n'est pas de portée générale, n'est pas sujet au référendum.
