The Swiss Federal Council amended the directives of 16 March 1981 applicable to the processing of personal data in the federal administration. Chapter 9 was revised so that the directives remained in force, with the previous sentence limiting their application until 31 December 1986 deleted. The amending act was set to enter into force on 1 January 1987.
Directives on the processing of personal data in the federal administration; amendment of the entry-into-force clause. The Federal Council may amend existing administrative directives by express revision of the relevant chapter and may remove a previously fixed expiry date. Where the amending act specifies a future commencement date, the revised text becomes applicable only from that date, regardless of the earlier origin of the underlying directives.

Les directives du 16 mars 19811) applicables au traitement des données per- sonnelles dans l'administration fédérale sont modifiées comme il suit:

9 Entrée en vigueur
Les présentes directives entrent en vigueur le 1er juillet 1981 (la ·seconde partie de la phrase «elles s'appliquent jusqu'au 31 décem- bre 1986» est abrogée).
II
La présente modification entre en vigueur le 1er janvier 1987.
