The Federal Assembly adopted a modification of the federal decree concerning the Atomic Energy Act. The only substantive change was to extend the decree’s validity under Article 14 until 31 December 1990. The act was declared subject to the optional referendum and set to enter into force on 1 January 1984. The publication date and opposition deadline were stated in the official bulletin.
Art. 14 of the Federal Decree concerning the Atomic Energy Act; extension of the decree’s temporal validity and transitional commencement rule. The legislative amendment prolongs the validity of the decree for a fixed period and may be combined with a separate entry-into-force provision. Where the text expressly subjects the act to an optional referendum, that procedural qualification applies to the whole amendment; the commencement date may be set independently of the referendum period.

L'Assemblée fédérale de la Confédération suisse, vu le message du Conseil fédéral du 25 août 19821), arrête:
I
L'arrêté fédéral du 6 octobre 19782) concernant la loi sur l'énergie atomique est modifié comme il suit:
Art. 14 Prorogation
La validité de cet arrêté est prorogée jusqu'au 31 décembre 1990.
II
1 Le présent arrêté, qui est de portée. générale, est sujet au référendum facultatif.
2 La présente modification entre en vigueur le 1er janvier 1984.

Extension of the validity of the federal decree on the Atomic Energy Act

Referendum and entry into force of the amendment
