The appellant challenged a State Council resolution concerning adoption of a cantonal protection plan, but later withdrew the appeal by letter dated 25 March 1998. The Tribunal della pianificazione del territorio found that the case had become devoid of object and struck the appeal from the docket. It also ordered that no fees or costs be levied. The decision was issued by the planning court in Lugano on 26 March 1998.
