The Pretura penale in Bellinzona dealt with an objection to a criminal decree in which the accused had allegedly made a defamatory statement. After the civil parties withdrew the complaint, following the accused's apology and his undertaking to pay CHF 500 in full settlement, the court struck the case from the docket and returned the file to the public prosecutor.
