The appellants challenged a cantonal non-entry decision in a health insurance matter, but their federal appeal contained no requests and no sufficient reasoning. The Federal Supreme Court held the filing to be manifestly inadmissible and, in simplified procedure, declined to enter into the appeal. It waived court costs.

An appeal must contain specific requests and, in concise form, reasons showing how the challenged decision violates federal law. Where a complaint against a non-entry decision addresses only the merits of the underlying dispute and does not explain why the lower court should have entered into the case, it lacks a legally sufficient subject-matter reasoning. If the defect is not cured within the appeal period after judicial warning, the remedy is manifestly inadmissible and may be dismissed in simplified procedure (consid. 1). Costs may exceptionally be waived under art. 66 Abs. 1 sentence 2 BGG.

Nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde vom 22. Juli 2011 (Poststempel) gegen den Nichteintretensentscheid des Versicherungsgerichts des Kantons Solothurn vom 7. Juli 2011,
in die Mitteilung des Bundesgerichts vom 26. Juli 2011 an O.________ und L.________, worin auf die gesetzlichen Formerfordernisse von Beschwerden hinsichtlich Begehren und Begründung sowie auf die nur innert der Rechtsmittelfrist noch bestehende Verbesserungsmöglichkeit hingewiesen worden ist,
in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung zu enthalten hat, wobei in der Begründung in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Akt Recht verletzt,
dass nach der Rechtsprechung eine Beschwerdeschrift, welche sich bei Nichteintretensentscheiden lediglich mit der materiellen Seite des Falles auseinandersetzt, keine sachbezogene Begründung aufweist und damit keine rechtsgenügliche Beschwerde darstellt (vgl. BGE 123 V 335; 118 Ib 134; ARV 2002 Nr. 7 S. 61 E. 2),
dass die Beschwerdeführer weder einen Antrag stellen noch näher darlegen, weshalb die Vorinstanz auf die Beschwerde hätte eintreten sollen, so dass die Eingabe vom 22. Juli 2011 offensichtlich unzulässig ist,
dass die Mitteilung vom 26. Juli 2011 unbeantwortet geblieben ist, womit das Bundesgericht die Beschwerdeführer auf die bestehende Möglichkeit einer Verbesserung der Eingabe vom 22. Juli 2011 hingewiesen hat,
dass damit insgesamt offensichtlich keine gültige Beschwerde eingereicht worden ist,
dass deshalb im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht einzutreten ist und in Anwendung von Art. 66 Abs. 1 Satz 2 BGG auf die Erhebung von Gerichtskosten umständehalber verzichtet wird,
erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Es werden keine Gerichtskosten erhoben.

3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Versicherungsgericht des Kantons Solothurn und dem Bundesamt für Gesundheit schriftlich mitgeteilt.
