The Federal Supreme Court held that the appellant’s brief did not satisfy the statutory reasoning requirements because it failed to address the decisive grounds of the cantonal judgment and largely repeated the earlier submission. In simplified procedure, the Court therefore did not enter into the appeal without granting a grace period for amendment. As the appeal had no chance of success, the request for free legal aid was rejected and the appellant was ordered to pay court costs of CHF 300.

The appellant must, in a concise and case-specific manner, address the decisive considerations of the challenged judgment and show, by reference to the legal grounds invoked, where the decision allegedly violates federal law or is based on manifestly incorrect fact-finding. A brief that merely reproduces the submissions made before the cantonal authority, or contains only general and unsubstantial criticism, is inadmissible. In such a case the court may decline to enter into the appeal in simplified proceedings without granting a cure period (consid. 2). Legal aid is refused where the remedy is manifestly devoid of prospects (Art. 64 BGG).

Nach Einsicht
in die Beschwerde des H.________ vom 14. März 2011 (Poststempel) gegen den Entscheid des Sozialversicherungsgerichts Basel-Stadt vom 24. Januar 2011 und das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechts-pflege,

in Erwägung,
dass ein Rechtsmittel gemäss Art. 42 Abs. 1 BGG unter anderem die Begehren und deren Begründung mit Angabe der Beweismittel zu enthalten hat, wobei im Rahmen der Begründung in gedrängter Form darzulegen ist, inwiefern der angefochtene Entscheid Recht verletzt (Art. 42 Abs. 2 BGG); die Begründung muss sachbezogen sein, damit aus ihr ersichtlich ist, in welchen Punkten und weshalb der angefochtene Entscheid beanstandet wird (BGE 131 II 449 E. 1.3 S. 452; 123 V 335 E. 1 S. 337 f. mit Hinweisen); dies setzt voraus, dass sich die Beschwerde führende Person mit den für das Ergebnis des angefochtenen Entscheids massgeblichen Erwägungen auseinandersetzt (BGE 134 II 244 E. 2.1 S. 245 f. mit weiteren Hinweisen),
dass die Beschwerde vom 14. März 2011 diesen gesetzlichen Begründungsanforderungen nicht genügt, da sie sich mit den für das Ergebnis des angefochtenen vorinstanzlichen Entscheids massgeblichen Erwägungen nicht in hinreichender Weise auseinandersetzt;
dass sich die beim Bundesgericht eingereichte Rechtsschrift nur in wenigen untergeordneten Punkten von der Beschwerde, welche der Rechtsvertreter des Versicherten schon vor dem kantonalen Sozialversicherungsgericht eingereicht hat, unterscheidet (BGE 134 II 244 E. 2.1 ff. S. 245 ff.) und die Begründung praktisch wörtlich der bereits vor dem kantonalen Gericht eingereichten Beschwerde entspricht,
dass mit den am Schluss der Rechtsschrift eingefügten Ausführungen über die Unfallkausalität nicht in konkreter und genügend substanziierter Weise dargelegt wird, inwiefern das erstinstanzliche Gericht eine Rechtsverletzung gemäss Art. 95 f. BGG bzw. eine unrichtige oder unvollständige Sachverhaltsfeststellung im Sinne von Art. 97 BGG begangen haben sollte,

dass demnach - ohne Ansetzung einer Nachfrist zur Verbesserung (BGE 134 II 244 E. 2.4 S. 247) - im vereinfachten Verfahren nach Art. 108 Abs. 1 lit. b BGG auf die Beschwerde nicht eingetreten werden kann,
dass das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wegen Aussichtslosigkeit der Begehren abzuweisen ist (Art. 64 Abs. 1 und 2 BGG), womit der Beschwerdeführer nach Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG kostenpflichtig wird,

erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.
Das Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wird abgewiesen.

3.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

4.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien, dem Sozialversicherungsgericht Basel-Stadt und dem Bundesamt für Gesundheit schriftlich mitgeteilt.
