Der Einzelrichter zieht in Erwägung:

Dem Beschwerdeführer wurden mit Verfügungen vom 4. und 26. April 2013 eine Frist und die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Nachfrist angesetzt, um dem Bundesgericht spätestens am 10. Mai 2013 einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 1'000.-- einzuzahlen, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde. Der Vorschuss wurde innert Frist nicht bezahlt. Auf die Beschwerde ist androhungsgemäss im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).
Demnach erkennt der Einzelrichter:
1.
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

Whether the appeal could be entered into despite non-payment of the ordered advance on costs.
No entry was made because the advance on costs was not paid within the deadline, as previously threatened under Art. 108 BGG.
The court had set a deadline and statutory grace period and warned that failure to pay would lead to non-entry. Since payment was not made on time, the appeal had to be dismissed from consideration in summary procedure.

Court costs of CHF 800 were charged to the appellant.
