The appellant challenged an Aarau cantonal criminal judgment for multiple procurement of false certification and sentencing. The Federal Supreme Court had twice ordered an advance on costs of CHF 2,000 and warned that failure to pay would lead to non-entry. Because the advance was not paid, the Court did not enter into the appeal under Art. 108 BGG. Court costs of CHF 800 were charged to the appellant.
Art. 62 Abs. 3 and Art. 108 BGG; non-payment of the ordered advance on costs after due warning leads to non-entry into the appeal in summary procedure. Where the appellant fails to comply with the payment order within the set and extended time limits, the Federal Supreme Court may refuse to enter into the matter without examining the merits. The court costs are to be borne by the appellant under Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG.

Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Dem Beschwerdeführer wurden mit Verfügungen vom 12. Juni 2008 und 11. Juli 2008 eine Frist bis 3. Juli 2008 bzw. die in Art. 62 Abs. 3 BGG vorgeschriebene Nachfrist bis 22. August 2008 angesetzt, dem Bundesgericht einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 2'000.-- einzuzahlen, ansonsten auf das Rechtsmittel nicht eingetreten werde. Der Kostenvorschuss wurde nicht geleistet. Auf die Beschwerde ist deshalb androhungsgemäss im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG)
Demnach erkennt der Präsident:
1.
Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Aargau, Strafgericht, 1. Kammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.

The court refused to hear the appeal because the advance on costs was not paid within the set time limit and the warning under Art. 108 BGG had been issued.
Two deadlines were set under Art. 62(3) BGG; as payment still did not occur, the appeal had to be dismissed by non-entry in summary procedure under Art. 108 BGG.
Who bears the court costs of the Federal Supreme Court proceedings.
The appellant must bear the court costs.
Because the appeal was not entered into, the costs were imposed on the appellant pursuant to Art. 66(1) BGG.
