Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:

Der Beschwerdeführer wurde mit Verfügung vom 27. März 2014 aufgefordert, dem Bundesgericht spätestens am 11. April 2014 einen Kostenvorschuss von Fr. 2'000.-- einzuzahlen.

Am 8. April 2014 stellte er ein Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege. Da dieses nicht hinreichend begründet und belegt war, wurde der Beschwerdeführer mit Schreiben vom 9. April 2014 aufgefordert, das Gesuch bis zum 30. April 2014 zu ergänzen, ansonsten es abgewiesen und eine Nachfrist zur Bezahlung des Kostenvorschusses angesetzt würden. Da sich der Beschwerdeführer innert Frist nicht äusserte, wurde das Gesuch mit Verfügung vom 14. Mai 2014 abgewiesen.

Mit Verfügung vom 15. Mai 2014 wurde dem Beschwerdeführer die gesetzlich vorgeschriebene und nicht mehr erstreckbare Nachfrist zur Bezahlung des Kostenvorschusses bis zum 26. Mai 2014 angesetzt, ansonsten auf die Beschwerde nicht eingetreten werde. Der Beschwerdeführer zahlte den Vorschuss erst am 30. Mai 2014 und damit verspätet ein.

Mit Eingabe vom 31. Mai 2014 beantragt der Beschwerdeführer, es sei ihm eine Nachfrist zur Bezahlung des Kostenvorschusses bis zum 2. Juni 2014 zu gewähren. Die Frist gemäss Verfügung vom 15. Mai 2014 laufe von diesem Datum bis zum 26. Mai 2014, mithin elf Tage. Da er die Verfügung erst am 22. Mai 2014 erhalten habe, sei die Frist von elf Tagen erst ab diesem Datum zu berechnen. Sie laufe für ihn folglich bis zum 2. Juni 2014 (vgl. act. 15).

Das Vorbringen des Beschwerdeführers dringt nicht durch. Der Richter kann eine Frist nach Anzahl Tagen bestimmen, aber er kann ihr Ende auch auf einen bestimmten Kalendertag hin terminieren. Im vorliegenden Fall wurde die zweite Möglichkeit gewählt. Folglich hätte der Beschwerdeführer, dem die Verfügung rechtzeitig zuging, den Kostenvorschuss spätestens am 26. Mai 2014 einzahlen müssen. Eine Umrechnung, wie er sie vornimmt, ist unzulässig.

Da der Kostenvorschuss zu spät einbezahlt wurde, ist auf die Beschwerde im Verfahren nach Art. 108 BGG nicht einzutreten.

Die Gerichtskosten sind dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen (Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG).

Demnach erkennt der Präsident:

Auf die Beschwerde wird nicht eingetreten.

2.

Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 800.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.

3.

Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
