The appellant challenged a cantonal civil judgment by both public law appeal and reform appeal. In a separate decision of the same day, the Federal Court allowed the reform appeal and rejected the underlying claims, remitting only the issue of cantonal costs. As a result, the public law appeal had become moot and was removed from the docket. The Court fixed judicial costs at CHF 1,000 and placed them on the appellant, considering his filing unnecessary. No party costs were awarded because the respondents had not been called upon to answer.

Where the Federal Court, in the reform appeal, sets aside the cantonal judgment and decides the merits anew, the public law appeal against the same judgment loses its object and is stricken from the roll. The court may nevertheless allocate costs for the moot appeal against the appellant where the filing was futile. No party costs are awarded if the respondents were not invited to file observations.

recours de droit public contre le jugement de la Cour civile I du Tribunal cantonal du canton du Valais du 25 octobre 2002.

Considérant:
Que par actes du 26 novembre 2002, B.________ a interjeté un recours de droit public ainsi qu'un recours en réforme au Tribunal fédéral contre le jugement rendu le 25 octobre 2002 par le Tribunal cantonal du canton du Valais, Cour civile I, dans la cause qui le divise d'avec L.________ et S.________ Spa,
que par arrêt de ce jour, la cour de céans, admettant le recours en réforme, a réformé le jugement précité du 25 octobre 2002 en ce sens que les actions des demandeurs ont été rejetées, la cause étant pour le surplus renvoyée à l'autorité cantonale pour nouvelle décision sur les frais et dépens de la procédure cantonale,
que le recours de droit public est ainsi devenu sans objet,
que les frais judiciaires doivent être fixés à 1'000 fr. (art. 72 PCF, applicable par renvoi de l'art. 40 OJ),
qu'il y a lieu de mettre ces frais à la charge du recourant, dont le procédé s'est révélé inutile (art. 156 al. 6 OJ),
qu'il n'y a en revanche pas lieu d'allouer de dépens, les intimés n'ayant pas été invités à répondre au recours de droit public;

Par ces motifs, le Tribunal fédéral prononce:
1.
Le recours de droit public est sans objet et la cause est rayée du rôle.
2.
Un émolument judiciaire de 1'000 fr. est mis à la charge du recourant.
3.
La présente décision est communiquée en copie aux mandataires des parties et à la Cour civile I du Tribunal cantonal du canton du Valais.
