The appellant husband withdrew his constitutional complaint against a Basel-Stadt civil court judgment in a marital protection case after his request for legal aid had been refused as hopeless. The presiding member of the Federal Supreme Court’s Second Civil Law Division struck the proceedings from the roll. Das präsidierende Mitglied hat nach Einsicht
in die Verfassungsbeschwerde vom 30. April 2007 gegen das Urteil vom 9. März 2007 des Zivilgerichts Basel-Stadt (Aktenzeichen: FK 2006/79),
in Erwägung,
dass der Beschwerdeführer die erwähnte Eingabe (nach sein Gesuch um unentgeltliche Rechtspflege wegen Aussichtslosigkeit abweisender Verfügung vom 10. Juli 2007) mit Schreiben vom 18. Juli 2007 zurückgezogen hat, die Beschwerde daher durch das präsidierende Mitglied (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP), entgegen dem Antrag des Beschwerdeführers nicht auf eine Kostenerhebung verzichtet werden kann, diesem jedoch eine reduzierte Gerichtsgebühr aufzuerlegen ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG),
verfügt:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Verfassungsbeschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtsgebühr von Fr. 150.-- wird dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Zivilgericht des Kantons Basel-Stadt schriftlich mitgeteilt.

Whether the constitutional complaint should be struck out after withdrawal
The proceedings were terminated and struck off the roll because the complaint had been withdrawn.
Once the appellant withdrew the filing, there was no basis to continue the case; the presiding member could therefore discontinue the proceedings under the applicable procedural provisions.
Whether court costs could be waived after withdrawal
A complete waiver of costs was denied; a reduced court fee was imposed on the appellant.
Despite the appellant's request, the court held that costs could not be dispensed with entirely, but a reduced fee was appropriate.
