The Federal Supreme Court considered a constitutional appeal in a debt-enforcement matter. After ordering an advance on costs of CHF 400 and rejecting the request for legal aid, it found that the appellant had not paid the advance within the set time limit. The appeal was therefore declared inadmissible. The court also charged the judicial costs of CHF 400 to the appellant. The decision was rendered by a single judge.
Art. 62 al. 3 LTF; failure to pay the advance on costs within the prescribed time limit results in non-entry on the appeal. The court must declare the appeal inadmissible once the advance remains unpaid in due time, irrespective of the merits. Costs are then borne by the appellant pursuant to Art. 66 al. 1 LTF. The matter may be decided by the single judge under Art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF when the statutory conditions for summary disposition are met.

considérant:
que l'avance de frais n'a pas été fournie en temps utile, de sorte que le recours doit être déclaré irrecevable (art. 62 al. 3 LTF), aux frais du recourant (art. 66 al. 1 LTF);
que le présent arrêt relève de la compétence du juge unique (art. 108 al. 1 let. a LTF);
par ces motifs, la Présidente prononce:

Le recours est irrecevable.
2.
Les frais judiciaires, arrêtés à 400 fr., sont mis à la charge du recourant.
3.
Le présent arrêt est communiqué aux parties et à la Cour des poursuites et faillites du Tribunal cantonal du canton de Vaud.
