The appellant withdrew his appeal against the Thurgau cantonal appellate decision in a personality-protection interim-measures case. The Federal Supreme Court, acting through the presiding judge, discontinued the proceedings as withdrawn and ordered court costs of CHF 300 against the appellant. The court also noted that no further requests could be granted after withdrawal.

dass der Beschwerdeführer die erwähnte Eingabe mit Schreiben vom 7. Januar 2010 (Postaufgabe: 18. Januar 2010) zurückgezogen hat, die Beschwerde daher durch die Abteilungspräsidentin (Art. 32 Abs. 2 BGG) abzuschreiben ist (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 73 BZP), die Kosten dem Beschwerdeführer aufzuerlegen sind (Art. 71 BGG i.V.m. Art. 5 Abs. 2 BZP, Art. 66 Abs. 1 BGG) und dieser darauf hingewiesen wird, dass seinen weiteren Begehren nach erfolgtem Beschwerderückzug nicht stattgegeben werden kann,
verfügt die Präsidentin:

Das Verfahren wird als durch Rückzug der Beschwerde erledigt abgeschrieben.
2.
Die Gerichtskosten von Fr. 300.-- werden dem Beschwerdeführer auferlegt.
3.
Diese Verfügung wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Thurgau schriftlich mitgeteilt.
